A dolphin show takes place in a dolphinarium — a pool facility where trained animals perform at fixed times, and some venues also offer paid swimming sessions with the dolphins. Those shows are run by separate businesses and are not part of our programme in any way.

A wild dolphin tour is a full-day boat trip. The boat cruises out to open water where dolphins live free, and if a pod is nearby, you watch natural behaviour — hunting, travelling, sometimes riding the bow wave. There is no script, no schedule and, honestly, no guarantee.

What we actually sell: the Dolphin Island boat tour

Our Dolphin Island boat tour lasts about 8 hours door to door. The boat departs from the Manavgat River pier — not from Side harbour — so the day starts with a calm river cruise where you can spot turtles sunbathing on branches along the banks. At the point where the river meets the sea there is a swimming break of about 1.5 hours, followed by extra stops in open water. Lunch is cooked on board: grilled chicken with rice and salad. There is a foam party, drinks are sold at the bar, and life jackets are available for every age. The boat is back at the harbour between 16:30 and 17:00, and you are at your hotel around 17:30.

Dolphins come close to the boat on some days and stay away on others. We publish real photos and follow a strict honest-expectations policy: we will never tell you a sighting is guaranteed, because with wild animals it simply cannot be.

What is guaranteed — on every single trip

What you can count on regardless of the dolphins: the Manavgat River cruise, the turtles along the banks, the long swim at the river mouth plus additional sea stops, the freshly grilled lunch and the foam party. Hotel pick-up is included, typically between 08:30 and 09:25 depending on your area; the exact time is confirmed the day before, and the meeting point is usually the outer door or security gate of your hotel.

The ethics question — your call, not ours

Some travellers prefer not to visit shows with animals in captivity; others see them as classic family entertainment. That is a personal decision and we respect both.
